FKF Electoral Board

The Electoral Board has received several enquiries regarding the requirement that candidates for all elections seek nominations from 5 members of FKF, as provided in the guidelines released on 11 August 2020. We wish to clarify that Article 11. 1 of the FKF Constitution defines members as follows:

1. The Members of FKF are:

  • a) The FKF Premier League Clubs
  • b) The FKF National Super League Clubs
  • c) The FKF National Division One League Clubs
  • d) The FKF Division Two League Clubs
  • e) The 48 Counties of FKF
  • f) The FKF recognized Association for Football Referees
  • g) The FKF recognized Association for Football Coaches
  • h) The FKF recognized Association for Football players
  • i) The FKF recognized Association for Women’s Football. The FKF Women’s Premier League representing both the Women’s Premier League and Women’s Division One League

To ensure an auditable trail of the endorsements, attach proof of FKF membership to the endorsement letters. Below are examples:

Referee

Either:

  • Letter from the respective branch or National office
  • Appointment letter to officiate an FKF sanctioned match
  • A membership card to any Referee body recognized by FKF
  • Among others

Coach

Either:

  • Letter from the respective club
  • Letter from respective FKF branch or National office
  • A membership card to any coaching body recognized by FKF
  • Among others

Players (both men and women)

Either:

  • A valid playing card issued by respective branch or National office
  • A letter from respective club
  • Among others

This guideline is expected to increase the number of candidates vying for the various posts as endorsements are not restricted to clubs and can be obtained from other FKF members.

We look forward to a competitive election
